Die Familie Schwarzenberg, der das dahinter liegende Palais gehört, hatte bereits als Zeichen gegen Putins Krieg gegen die Ukraine die unmittelbar hinter dem Denkmal liegende Umfassungsmauer in den ukrainischen Nationalfarben Blau-Gelb anmalen lassen. // Vienna (AUSTRIA) - On Schwarzenbergplatz, behind the "Russian Monument", a memorial to Soviet soldiers who fell during the liberation of Vienna in April 1945, the graffiti duo Joel Gamnou sprayed two murals of the opposition activist Alexander Navalny, who died a few months ago in a Russian penal colony. The Schwarzenberg family, which owns the palace behind it, had already painted the surrounding wall directly behind the monument in the Ukrainian national colors of blue and yellow as a sign against Putin's war against Ukraine.
