Die Teilnehmer sprechen sich für die Annahme des Aktionsplans in der vorliegenden Fassung aus und lehnen jegliche finanziellen Kürzungen ab. Im Mittelpunkt steht ME/CFS, eine schwere chronische Erkrankung, die häufig nach Infektionen wie COVID-19 auftreten kann. Der in der vergangenen Legislaturperiode erarbeitete Aktionsplan ist bisher nicht umgesetzt und soll Forschung sowie die Versorgung Betroffener verbessern. Former health ministers and the WE&ME Foundation hold a press conference ahead of the planned adoption of Austria's National PAIS Action Plan. They call for the plan to be adopted in its current form and reject any funding cuts. The initiative focuses on ME/CFS, a severe chronic disease that can occur after infections such as COVID-19. Developed during the previous legislative period, the action plan has not yet been implemented and aims to improve research and patient care.
